The Magical Unfolding of Reggie Riverbear
I was born in the center of a Star-Shaped Earth-Mandala on Rainbow street. Needless to say, this Human Journey has been filled with Magic right from the start. I was raised in a Temple Home in the Netherlands where Vedic Rituals were performed on a weekly basis. Submerged from such an early age in the world of Sacred Ceremony, and receiving my first energetic healing initiation at age 10 (Egyptian Healing, a form of healing comparative to Reiki) I am so Grateful (and not surprised) to find myself sharing the Healing Arts today.
My Beautiful Mother, a Pleiadian Lightworker Queen who has devoted her life as an Instrument of the Universe paved the way for me with such Determination, Devotion and Grace. Making her offerings through Yoga, Vedic Devotional Ceremony, Telepathic Animal Healing and all-round Healer and Mother of All, she continues to be my Inspiration & Companion on this path. Having a home in India and Holland, she travels, teaches and brings sweetness and healing wherever she goes. Volunteering at the Refugee Camps & Food banks and having the Center for Ceremony at our house, growing up our home was always filled with Colorful Characters. From the spiritual seekers to refugees living upstairs, it is safe to say I grew up in an eclectic house hold in the middle of a strict Protestant town. Besides our home in the Netherlands, we would spend time each year in our home in India, where we learned the ways of Ceremony, chanting, kirtan and all the Beauty and Wisdom that lies within the Indian Soil. After moving in with us, my uncle helped raise & shape me. Being a US-raised half Dutch half Native American physic surgeon zen buddhist rebel, he added the feathers, the medicine drums, the animal spirits, the music, meditation and the philosophical side to things. I give thanks for these two Incredible Beings for laying the foundation for a life I love so much.
Setting out into the world at 16, it has been a full spectrum Guided Journey of initiations, travels, adventures, nomadic existence, learning, growing and blossoming. The Spirit of Music found me in Thailand in 2009, and it felt like coming home to myself. Having been acting and dancing on stages since I was 4 years old, The World of Music felt instantly familiar and I dove in with my whole being. This lead to moving to the US to create a Musical Storytelling Company called History Hunter with my partner at the time. Performance Art became of way of Creating Community and Inspiration and this is where I found my love for Storytelling.
In the meanwhile, I found myself intimately involved with the Plant Kingdom. Mother Nature has always spoken to me clearly. Having been clairaudient and clairvoyant my whole life, Nature Spirits have always found their way to me. From studying Nutrition, experimenting with my own body, working with the flower kingdom and her remedies, western (and some humble Chinese) herbalism and a Deep & Divine Dive with the Sacred Plant Teachers, my connection to the Natural World became stronger and stronger. I started living outside more and more, sleeping in forests, living on beaches, sitting by bodies of waters for days at a time and being with nature and her voice as much as possible. Listening, learning, becoming.
Receiving teachings and Initiations has been a strong presence on my path as well. I have had the blessings and honor to study with different indigenous teachers and traditions from tribes such as the Lakota tribe (Medicine songs), Central American Curanderas (Ceremonies and Healing Modalities), Reiki Masters (full initiations into this modality), the Q’uero tribe from Peru and the Kogi’s (Sound Healing with Portals of Peace, Initiations of the Camino Amarillo, Munay Ki (way of the Heart) Sacred Womb Healing and Water Blessing Rituals), Celtic High Priestesses (Elemental Healing and Awakening) along with an Abundance of Spirit Guides, slowly but surely all these initiations have been merging into one, creating the flow that come through me which I have affectionately been referring to as Riverbear Medicine.
